Charlie and Arlo - Rugby Awards

Arlo and Charlie both received their teams unison Player of the Year awards.  They attended an award evening where they were presented with medals and Magpie gift bag with a poster, flag etc.  They each had a photo with Magpie player Ihaia West.  Well done boys!!  A great year playing rugby.

Calendar Art

The motivation for our Calendar Art was Richard Killeen's "house with attachment" artwork.  We discussed his work and modelled our art on his painting.  The result was outstanding!!!

Paper houses and Driftwood Structures

The children worked with Melanie to create houses using old hardback books.  They needed to find the middle of the book and follow instructions in folding the pages.  The children painted the inside covers to create a scenery.  Mrs Terry also came and worked with the children.  Mr Liddle helped the children make wooden structures. He showed the children how to put the pieces together.

Cłay Houses

Melanie worked with the children to produce clay houses.  Here are some photos of the children working.  Our next step is to have the clay houses put in the kiln and then we will glaze them.
